Governor Gehlot to attend inauguration of Udupi's silver jubilee celebration

Udupi: Governor of Karnataka Thawar Chand Gehlot will grace the inauguration of Silver Jubilee celebrations of the formation of Udupi district scheduled for August 25, said district in-charge minister S Angara.

Separate committees with distict responsibilities have been formed for overseeing the Silver jubilee celebrations. They have been instructed to hold regular meetings to review the progress, he said.

Further, he added that local MLAs will take charge of the activities in their respective constituencies.

Reacting to a query about the dangerous footbridges, Angara said that the footbridges in the distrcits will be redeveloped under the NAREGA scheme.
