Naveen, a 21-year-old medical student, was killed last week in the shelling by Russian troops in Kharkiv city of Ukraine.
CM assured the family that the government was making every effort to bring his mortal remains back from the warzone in Ukraine. “I am in constant touch with the foreign minister. Reaching Kharkiv has been difficult due to the continued shelling. We are making sincere efforts to bring his mortal remains back to his homeland.” Naveen’s family, earlier, had alleged that nobody in the government was helping them to repatriate his body to his parents.
On this occasion, the CM also handed over a compensation of Rs 25 lakh to Naveen’s family and also gave assurance of government employment to Naveen’s elder brother.
