Yadgir: Karnataka Chief Minister HD Kumaraswamy kickstarted the Grama Vastavya programme by visiting Yadgir district here on Friday morning.
Kumaraswamy reached Yadgiri railway station on Karnataka Express train at 4.45am on Friday from where he proceeded towards Chandaraki village in Gurumanakal Taluk for the village stay. He was given a warm welcome by Yadgiri District in-charge minister Rajshekhar Patil, MLA Naganagowda Kandkur, Yadgiri Deputy Commissioner.
Earlier yesterday, Kumaraswamy and Deputy chief minister Parameshwara released a book outlining the coalition governments achievements over the past one year.
Speaking to reporters after releasing the document, the chief minister said that he has directed all MLAs to spend at least one day every month in a village and ensure that the schemes of the government reach the people directly.
