Heavy rainfall expected in DK, Udupi on May 21-22

Mangaluru: The Indian Meteorological Department has forecasted a significant intensification of pre-monsoon rains in the coastal regions of Karnataka. Heavy rainfall is expected in the districts of Dakshina Kannada and Udupi on May 21 and 22.

An ‘Orange Alert’ has been issued for these days, indicating the possibility of thunderstorms accompanied by heavy downpours.

During the Orange Alert period, rainfall in the coastal areas is anticipated to range between 115.6 mm and 204.4 mm. Residents are advised to take necessary precautions and stay updated with weather reports to ensure safety during this period.
