Bengaluru: Heavy rainfall lashed various parts of Karnataka including Vijayapura, Nelamangala, Ramanagar, Kanakpura, Bengaluru, Chamarajnagar, Kollegala and others. The heavy rainfall has claimed two lives at Basavana Bagewadi in Vijayapura as a mother and her daughter lost their lives after their house collapsed unexpectedly.

Heavy rainfall began Tuesday midnight and continued until Wednesday early morning in Karnataka. Water has entered into 400 houses in Nelamangala following artificial floods from Amani lake.

Heavy showers disrupted vehicular traffic on Kanakpura-Bengaluru road and commuters were seen struggling for transport facilities. Normal life reportedly stalled in Bidar district also.   In an incident, a group of youths rescued a youth from flood water at Lokkanahalli in Chamarajnagar.
