In Shivapura village, an electric wire running through the middle of the Uppala Moorusalu river had been broken for several days. The repair was delayed owing to the continuous heavy rainfall. The residents of the area were facing significant difficulties due to the power disruption and could not use their electric motors.
Upon learning about the issue, Hebri MESCOM staff member Pramod, originally from Channagiri in Davanagere, along with part-time employee Sudheer, took it upon themselves to fix the problem.
Demonstrating extraordinary dedication, Pramod tied a rope to one end of the severed wire and swam across the 70-foot-wide river to repair the damaged electrical line, restoring power to the surrounding homes. Pramod is receiving praise for his brave and dedicated act.
