In Japan, a WWE-style match on a super-fast bullet train wowed 75 passengers. The clip of the match has gone viral on social media.
Organized by Tokyo’s DDT Pro-Wrestling, the tickets for the battle between Minoru Suzuki and Sanshiro Takagi sold out in just 30 minutes.
The wrestlers, Mr. Suzuki and Mr. Takagi, displayed incredible athleticism, even performing gravity-defying moves like the piledriver while on the moving train. The match lasted for a thrilling half-hour, as per The Telegraph.
Professional wrestling is hugely popular in Japan, having featured big names like Hulk Hogan and Kurt Angle. Sumo wrestling, another traditional sport, has also seen a surge in interest among tourists. Recently, a restaurant in Tokyo hosted a sumo performance for cheering tourists, complete with photo ops and even a chance to try sumo against retired professionals.
