I’m Kovid, and I’m not a computer virus: Kovid Kapoor, co-founder of Holidify

Kovid Kapoor, co-founder of Holidify, turned to Twitter to express how the coronavirus outbreak has made people “amused” by his name.

He wrote, “Went outside India for the first time since COVID and got a bunch of people amused by my name,”

He added, “Future foreign trips are going to be fun!”

He claimed that his name is from the Hanuman Chaleesa and meaning “scholar” or “educated.”

Kovid’s bio read, “My name is Kovid and I’m not a virus,” reminding Shah Rukh Khan’s dialogue “My name is Khan and I am not a terrorist.”

The Holidify founder also revealed how to pronounce his name. Kovid is pronounced with a soft “d” sound. He said, “Also, it’s pronounced as कोविद not कोविड.”

Kovid also shared a picture of him enjoying Corona beer.

He added, “Apart from these, there have been tens of funny micro-interactions, with Amazon delivery guys, with electricians, at airport security, at hotel check-ins, etc.”
