IPS officer Sanjay Sahay resigns from service

Bengaluru: After Annamalai, IPS officer Sanjay Sahay, ADGP has resigned from his post. As per sources his resignation has been accepted and will be relieved of his duties on March 31. "Sri Sanjay Sahay is permitted to retire from his service with effect from March 31 under Rule 16(2) of All India Services (DCRB) Rules, 1958," the government stated. Sanjay Sahay belongs to the 1989 batch of the IPS, borne on Karnataka cadre. It may be recalled that in last May former IPS officer Annamalai, hailed as 'Singham' of Karnataka police, had resigned from his profession citing personal reasons.
