Despite having announced his decision to field his grandson Prajwal Revanna’s from Hassan, rumours that Deve Gowda himself might contest from the constituency continued to make rounds on the media.

Putting to rest all such speculations, Kumaraswamy, while speaking to reporters here, said that Gowda had assured the seat to Prajwal three years ago itself. “He will contest from either Tumkur or Bangalore North Lok Sabha constituencies,” he added.

Leaders from both constituencies continue to build pressure on Gowda to pick their constituency for his candidature.

Congress leader and Rural Development Minister and MLA from Byatarayanapura Krishna Byre Gowda held a meeting with Deve Gowda urging the latter to contest from Bangalore North. However, Gowda is yet to decide on his choice of seat.
