Nebisa was living along with her daughter Naseema, son-in-law Naseer, their children, and a relative named Paija. Naseema was admitted to a hospital in Mangalore with Nebisa and Naseer also accompanying her, leaving the house unattended for several days.
Paija on March 10 had visited briefly to clean the house before returning to her home.
Upon returning on March 11 at 4 pm, Paija discovered the theft. Intruders had gained entry through the back door, breaking the iron gate and the lock of the cupboard. Approximately 10 sovereign gold and Rs 1 lakh in cash were reported stolen. The exact extent of the loss is yet to be determined by Nebisa upon her return and inspection of the premises.

This marks the second burglary at Nebisa’s residence, with a similar incident occurring ten years ago at her son Siddique’s house in Kundaje, followed by a theft at Nebisa’s own house in Golittadi. Both previous cases remain unsolved.
Although Nebisa’s house is equipped with a CCTV camera, it was not operational at the time of the theft. However, footage from a neighboring house captured two individuals arriving in a Swift car around 2:30 am on March 11 stopping near a gate before departing after half an hour, potentially indicating their involvement in the crime.
