Mangaluru/Udupi: Maha Shivaratri was celebrated on Thursday by devotees across coastal Karnataka. Special homas, maha rudrabhishekha, sathasiyala abhisheka, rathotsava, jagarnas, bhajans etc. were held in various Shiva temples.
More than 30,000 devotees arrived on foot at the Sri Kshetra Dharmasthala.
At Kudroli’s Sri Gokarnanath Kshetra, homa, rudrabhishek, sathasiyala abhishekha, maha pooja, rathotsava and jagarna were held.
Shiv pooja, rudrabhishekha, jagarna were held in Kadri temple.

The deity was worshipped at the Sri Mangaladevi temple with an ‘Ardha nareshwara’ decoration.
