Karkala: Disturbed over marital discord, man commits suicide 

A 50-year-old man allegedly committed suicide by jumping into a well at his residence on Wednesday, July 12 afternoon.

The deceased, Harish Shetty, a resident of Miyaru Kuntibail was working as a driver. It is gathered that he was disturbed due to marital discord and often told his friends that he would end his life.

On the day of the incident,Harish had gone to Bajagoli auto-rickshaw parking and mentioned that he would be committing suicide to his friends while asking them to come with flowers and cloth for his dead body.

Later he left for home and took the extreme step. His wife was away at her maternal house when the incident took place.

Karkala police visited the scene and conducted a spot inspection.
