EMT Joint Secretary Sandeep and District President Santhosh warned of a possible strike if the three months’ salary arrears were not addressed promptly. They emphasized the importance of resolving the issue to avoid disruptions in patient care.
Meanwhile, in a letter addressed to the Chief Minister, Udupi MLA Yashpal Suvarna urged immediate payment of the outstanding salaries for 108 service employees.
In Dakshina Kannada district, ambulance employees expressed solidarity with the statewide strike but postponed their action pending a meeting with government officials in Bengaluru on Tuesday. They assured that patient care would not be compromised during this period.
