The Dakshina Kannada district is expected to continue experiencing rainfall, and a “Red Alert” has been issued for June 10. During this period, more than 204.5 mm of rainfall is anticipated, with wind speeds potentially reaching 45 to 55 km/h. An “Orange Alert” has been issued for June 11, followed by a “Yellow Alert” for June 12 and 13.

Udupi district also received significant rainfall on Sunday. Byndoor and Kundapura areas experienced heavy rains, with intermittent rainfall continuing from late Saturday night through Sunday. Afternoon showers were observed in Udupi, Manipal, and Malpe regions.
Late Saturday night’s storm caused damage in several areas. In the district’s regions of Gujjadi, Shankaranarayana, Hosangadi, Kanyan, Thekkatte, Gangolli, Moodabettu, Hejamadi, Uppunda, and Ambalapadi, a total of 17 houses were damaged.
