Karnataka: Furious traditional fishermen block bull trawl boats mid-sea!

Gangolli/Uppunda: Over 100 traditional boat fishermen from Byndoor and Gangolli blocked Bull Trawl fishing boats in the sea, expressing their anger over destructive fishing practices.

Earlier, fishermen from Mangalore to Karwar had petitioned the government to ban Bull Trawl fishing. Despite complaints, authorities have not taken adequate steps, putting traditional fishermen in a difficult situation.
