However, it is being commented by many that almost 70 percent of the PU sylabbus will have to be cut as PU colleges have still not reopened.
In the meantime, the Public Instruction Department has constituted a panel of experts to further discuss reduction in the syllabus of SSLC students. According to a senior official of the Department, the discussions are to determine ‘a scientific reduction of the sylabbus based on the remaining number of academic days.’
For the academic year 2020-21, only the months of December, January, February and March remain. No decision on school reopening have been taken yet.

A DSERT official said that the panel of experts who had previously made the decision to reduce 30 per cent of the syllabus may now revise it to 50 per cent or 60 per cent or retain the older decision of 30 per cent. The government will take a final decision on the issue.
