A petition was filed by the Organisation for Unaided Recognised Schools and the Registered Unaided Private Schools’ Management Association challenging the state government’s decision on conduct of board exams.

The verdict was pronounced by Justice Ravi Hosmani.

Earlier the state government had issued introducing a circular mandating board-level assessment for classes 5, 8, 9, and 11 for students studying in the state syllabus instead of school-level assessment.
