Kasaragod drug racket: Shocking new details emerge!

Kasaragod: In a major breakthrough, police have identified the mastermind behind the massive drug bust on September 20 near Uppala, where 3.407 kg of MDMA and other narcotics were seized. The main suspect is from Manjeshwar, and investigations reveal deeper connections to the Kerala-Karnataka drug network.

Authorities believe that the seizure was just the tip of the iceberg, with much larger operations continuing in the region. The seized substances included 642.65 gm of marijuana, 96.65 gm of cocaine, and 30 narcotic pills. Askar Ali (26) from Pathwadi has been arrested and is currently in judicial custody, with police seeking his remand for further interrogation.

Separate Mobile App Used to Sell Drugs!

Shockingly, the drug network had developed a mobile app to facilitate transactions. Customers could order drugs through this app and pay via Google Pay. It’s also been revealed that two individuals involved in the racket are already in jail in a foreign country. More arrests are expected as the investigation progresses.

Online Drug Transactions Reach Lakhs!

One arrest in August from Melparamba, Abdul Rahim alias B.E. Ravi (28), revealed that he used a similar app, with lakhs of rupees being transferred through bank accounts. Police traced transactions amounting to Rs 17 lakhs just in August, all linked to Askar Ali’s account. Investigations are ongoing, with more details expected soon.

Kasaragod SP: 136 Drug Cases in Just 30 Days!

Kasaragod SP D. Shilpa confirmed that 136 cases related to drug sales and use have been registered in the district in the last 30 days, with 140 people arrested. The highest number of cases was recorded in the Manjeshwar police station. As the investigation continues, authorities are maintaining a tight lid on the details of the ongoing operations.
