Kasaragod: Two brothers meet a watery grave

Kasaragod: In a tragic incident that unfolded on Saturday, two young brothers lost their lives after drowning in a pond at Mogral Koppala.

The victims have been identified as Naseem (22) and Naadil (17), sons of Khader, residents of Manjeshwar Majibail.

The ill-fated incident reportedly occurred when Naseem and Naadil ventured into the pond for a bath.

Despite the best efforts of locals who rushed to their aid and managed to rescue them from the water, they could not be saved. The brothers were rushed to the nearest hospital,they were declared dead by doctors.

Their mortal remains have been transferred to the mortuary of the taluk hospital located in Mangalpady.

A case has been registered at the Kumble police station.
