Kasaragod: Youth’s mysterious death -- Choking on food suspected

The mysterious death of a 24-year-old youth in Kaavupadi, Muliyar is still under investigation. The youth, Rasheed, son of Abdulla, was found dead under mysterious circumstances on December 11.

Meanwhile, preliminary police investigation suggests that Rasheed’s death may have been caused by food lodging in his windpipe, obstructing his breathing.

The body has been sent for a post-mortem at Pariyaram Medical College Hospital. Initial reports indicate that the choking occurred while he was eating.

The exact cause of death will be confirmed after further medical analysis.
