Kasargod: Man arrested for sexually abusing woman with false promises of marriage

Kasargod: A youth who is accused of cheating a 25-year-old woman with false promises of marriage, was arrested here.

Kumble police Abhijith (28), a resident of Miyapadavu based on a complaint filed by the woman. The accused reportedly works at the Kumble gram panchayat office.

As per the complaint, the woman first came into contact with Abhijith when she had to get some paperwork done with regard to the housing facility sanctioned by the government.

Thereafter, the accused regularly contacted the woman over the phone and stuck a friendship with the woman. He had developed sexual relations with her by falsely promising to marry her, the complaint said.
