Kasargod: Scientist from ISRO dies of cardiac arrest

A 43-year-old scientist employed at ISRO Bengaluru died of a cardiac arrest at his home in Bettambare Soorlu.

The deceased is Ashok. He was recuperating at home post his knee surgery when he suddenly experienced a cardiac arrest, resulting in his demise.

He is survived by his wife and two children.

His educational journey began at Koodlu Gopalakrishna School, where he received his primary education. He continued his academic pursuits at Kasargod Government College for PU education and later earned a diploma from Periya Polytechnic College.

He played a pivotal role in the success of the Chandrayaan mission as a member of the ISRO team.

His contributions were recognized during the Ganesha festival at Kasargod Ganesh Mandir, where he was honored for his significant role in the landmark achievement.
