Nalin Kumar Kateel, the BJP State President, has expressed his concerns regarding derogatory statements made by Congress members, including Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, against Prime Minister Modi. He suggested that if they were to file complaints against all such remarks, numerous cases would be registered against them.

CM Siddaramaiah recently filed a case against Harish Poonja, Belthangady MLA, alleging him of posting derogatory content on social media. Nalin mentioned that CM Siddaramaiah had previously made negative statements about BJP members, and even labeled Chief Minister Bommai as a murderer. He argued that if every statement made on social media were to be pursued legally, many individuals would end up in jail.

He further criticized the current government for targeting BJP representatives and initiating legal action against them on flimsy grounds. He claimed that there is a growing trend of filing cases against BJP members, while those involved in anti-social activities, hoisting the Pakistani flag, and indulging in unruly behavior are seemingly supported. Nalin warned that if this trend continues, the BJP is prepared to launch a statewide protest.
