Kaup: Leeladhar Shetty couple's death - Police searching for adopted daughter

Kaup: Following the deaths of renowned theatre artist K. Leeladhar Shetty (68) and his wife Vasundhara L. Shetty (58), Police are searching for their adopted daughter in connection with the suicide case.

This couple ended their lives on Tuesday night allegedly after their adopted daughter had abandoned the home.

The complaint lodged with the police said that the adopted daughter had eloped with a man employed by the couple and raised suspicion that this was a possible motive.

Meanwhile, Kaup police have registered a case and have formed two teams to find her.

What is in the death note?

The couple had left behind a death note, the details of which are not officially revealed. However, sources claimed that there is no mention of the motive for the extreme step. The note reportedly mentions about the money owed and the desire of Leeladhar Shetty to develop the Karandadi School where he had gotten his education.

In the meantime, several questions remain unanswered. It is said that the daughter had left behind a letter before leaving home. This letter is yet to be traced. Did the Shetty couple take the extreme step after reading the letter, is another question that begs an answer.
