Kaup: Sheikh Jalil Saheb, a renowned Nagaswara player from Kaup, passed away at the age of 56 due to a heart attack on Monday morning. Survived by his wife, daughter, and brother, he leaves behind a large circle of relatives and fans.
AdvertisementOn Saturday, he played Nagaswara during Mullamutte at Koppalangadi, participated in Deepavali celebrations, and performed at Kapu Sri Lakshmi Janardana temple on Sunday.
On Monday morning, he suffered a fatal heart attack while having tea in a hotel. Despite being rushed to the hospital, he was pronounced dead shortly after. Jalil Saheb, known for his dedication to Nagaswara, had served in various temples, including the Sannidhi of Lord Mahatobhara Sri Lakshmi Janardana and Kaup Mariamma Devi Sannidhi.
