KDP meeting: Madhuswamy questions senior officials for lapses

Hassan: District in-charge minister, JC Madhuswamy on Friday, January 24 took the senior officials of various departments to task for failing to achieve progress in time.

JC Madhuswamy held a marathon meeting in Hassan on Karnataka Development Programme (KDP) for seven and half hours and questioned the officials for not providing better services to the people of the district.

The minister charged district health officer Dr Satish Kumar for failing to prevent patients going to private hospitals despite the availability of all essential facilities at the district one, which is run by Hassan institute medical sciences and taluk hospitals.

He further questioned him for not providing better services for poor patients despite having hi-tech facilities in the government hospital.

The joined director for Agriculture was also questioned by the minister for failing to enrol the farmers for crop insurance claims and engineers of Chamundeshwari electricity supplies company (CESCOM) not utilising funds earmarked for energising motor pumps that have been pending since the past two years.
