The incident took place around 7.30 am on Monday, near the Venkataraman temple in Vijayashree Layout, Mylasandra.

it is gathered that Narayanappa had been plucking coconuts from the 50-foot tree for many years now. He had climbed the tree on Monday as well. This time, however, he suffered a massive heart attack while at the top.

The locals, who noticed Narayanappa had not descended from the tree, called the police after failing to get any response from him.
