Kengeri: A 60-year-old man suffered a heart attack while plucking coconuts from a 50-foot-high tree and died while atop it on Monday in Bengaluru’s Kengeri police station limits.
The deceased has been identified as Narayanappa, a resident of Mylasandra.
The incident took place around 7.30 am on Monday, near the Venkataraman temple in Vijayashree Layout, Mylasandra.
it is gathered that Narayanappa had been plucking coconuts from the 50-foot tree for many years now. He had climbed the tree on Monday as well. This time, however, he suffered a massive heart attack while at the top.

The locals, who noticed Narayanappa had not descended from the tree, called the police after failing to get any response from him.
The fire brigade and police later checked on him by using a crane to reach the tree top where he was found dead. The mortal remains were brought down and sent for an autopsy at a private hospital.
Police said that the body was handed over to the family of the deceased after completing due procedures.
A case has been registered at the Kengeri Police Station.
