Kota double murder case: Two remanded to police custody

Kundapur: All the accused in the Kota Chikkanakere double murder case have been produced before the additional JMFC Court on Friday  February 15th. Of the accused, 2 have been remanded to police custody while 14 others have been sent to judicial custody till March 1st by the Judge Srikant N A.

One of the main accused Chandrashekhar Reddy and another accused identified as Sujay have been remanded to police custody till February 20th.

The other accused including Rajashekhara Reddy, Harish Reddy, Medical Ravi, Mahesh Ganiga, Ravichandra, GP BJP member Raghavendra Kanchan, Abhishek (Abhi Palan), Hanehalli resident Santosh Kunder, Nagaraj Rotti, Shankar Mogaveera, Ratish M Karkera, Badhravati resident and student Pranav Rao, police staff Pavan Amin and veerendra Acharya have been remanded for judicial custody until March 1st.

The accused were presented before the Court on Friday afternoon and during the occasion, many people had gathered on the premises of the Court.

The accused were produced before the Court under the leadership of the investigating officer Udupi DySP Jaishankar.

Bail application by two

Of the accused, the lawyer Ravikiran Murdeshwar representing Pavan Amin, Veerendra Acharya and Pranav Rao has argued that they should be given bail. This demand has been opposed by the assistance public prosecutor Sumangala Naik. The Judge postponed the argument for Saturday.
