Revenue Minister R Ashok had recently ordered the creation of this program under which final year medical students on internship, BSc Nursing, BDS, MDS, AYUSH graduates will be delegated for service.

Accordingly, on Sunday the Revenue Secretary issued guidelines for the program.

The mobile clinic will conduct physical examinations, throat sample collections and provide treatment, if needed, on the spot in villages.

As COVID-19 cases are increasing in rural areas and people are reluctant to get tested, the government has ordered the speedy implementation of this program.

Those testing positive must be given a medical kit and those with symptoms but testing negative should undergo the RT-PCR test. The mobile clinic must also coordinate with the Village-level COVID-19 Task Force.
