Landslides at Charmadi Ghat; vehicular movements disrupted

Mangaluru: Heavy rains led to landslides at nine places at the Charmadi Ghat stretch here on Monday.

Vehicle movements had to be stopped as the road was blocked. Commuters and children faced trouble due to this.

Those who are heading towards Bengaluru or Mysuru can take alternative route through Puttur-Sullia-Sampaje or through Bajegoli-Mala-Kudremukh. Those travelling from Udupi can take an alternative route through Bajegoli-Mala-Kudremukh or Balebare-Hulikal ghat.
