Bengaluru: Congress party in Karnataka took to Twitter to criticize the state government’s latest move to withdraw the weekend curfew on Friday.
Congress accused the government of imposing the weekend curfew to “control” its Mekedatu Padayatre and not to stop the spread of Covid in the state.
A tweet in Kannada on the party’s official handle read “5 thousand Covid Cases – Weekend Curfew… When 50 Thousand Covid Cases – Weekend Curfew Returns!… The curfew was enacted not to control the corona, but to control the Padayatre!”
“@BJP4Karnataka has mocked the people for political interest and should seek people’s forgiveness,” the party demanded.
