Lockdown 4.0: Bus services resume in Karnataka

Bengaluru: After a gap of nearly two months all non-AC buses, operated by government and private players resumed operations in all parts of the State, except in COVID-19 containment zones. Only 30 persons will be allowed to travel on a bus to ensure social distancing.

Reportedly, thermal screening of passengers is being conducted before they board the buses at Mysuru Road bus station. Social distancing norms are also being followed by passengers as a precautionary measure.

Meanwhile, in Hubli, NWKRTC resumed its bus services after relaxations in the fourth phase of the lockdown.

In Mangaluru a bus with 29 passengers left to Bengaluru in the morning.

Autorickshaws and cabs also returned to roads on Tuesday, after a gap of nearly two months, with some conditions in place.
