Madikeri: Tourist feared drowned in Harangi backwaters

A tragic incident occurred near Suntikoppa in Heruru village, where a man who had come to Kodagu district for a vacation feared drowned in the Harangi backwaters.

The deceased has been identified as Shashi (30) from Mysuru. The incident happened while he was swimming. It is reported that around 15 people had travelled from Mysuru to visit tourist spots.

Suntikoppa police visited the site and have initiated further action. The fire brigade personnel are conducting a search operation for the body.
