Mangaluru: Additional Director General of Police, Alok Kumar on Thursday said that no one will be allowed to jeopardize the law and order situation in the Malali mosque dispute.
He was speaking while addressing a press conference in Mangaluru for the first time after being sworn in as ADGP.
Alok Kumar said, “Malali issue is sub judice. The court has ordered for status quo until June 3. For this steps have been taken to maintain law and order in the district. Mangaluru is a sensitive area. Also, elections are just around the corner and necessary steps will be taken after a discussion with the concerned officials.”
“We need to keep an eye on social media platforms as there has been an increase in the cybercrime rate. However, Mangaluru police officials have already taken up a few preventive measures. We will hold discussions with the officials and review the situation,” he added.
