Man held for outraging modesty of schoolgirl in shopping complex

Bantwal: An auto rickshaw driver was arrested and sent to judicial custody for outraging the modesty of a schoolgirl at Kalladka in Bantwal taluk.

The arrested identified as Rahim Bolanthur allegedly hugged and kissed the schoolgirl after noticing that she was standing alone in a commercial complex here. He then fled from the spot. Passersby who saw him running informed police.

A suo motu case was registered and the accused arrested under the Pocso Act.

The girl later filed a complaint in the jurisdictional police station.
