Mangaluru: 22-year-old arrested for secretly filming neighbour’s washroom

Mangaluru: A youth was arrested for secretly filming a washroom in his neighbour’s house. The incident occurred at Kemral Hosakadu under Mulki Police Station limits.

The accused has been identified as Sumanth Poojary (22). Police produced him before the court, which remanded him to judicial custody.

Prajwal, filed a police complaint on Friday saying that he found a mobile phone hidden in a toilet in his house on the night of August 2. It was later found to be of Sumanth, who was his neighbour.

“Sumanth had the intention of shooting the video of my family including my mother and sisters,” Prajwal mentioned in the complaint.

Mangaluru Police Commissioner Kulddep Kumar R Jain said that they found an 18-second video in the mobile of the accused.

He further said that there is no information that the accused belonged to any organization. The accused has studied till class 10 and worked as a carpenter.  He has confessed about his act and intentions, Jain added.
