Snehalaya, which currently treats 350 people, faced challenges in identifying the addresses of many of its residents. In a recent collaborative effort between Snehalaya and the Aadhaar Seva Kendra, Mangaluru, an Aadhaar camp was organized.
During the fingerprint verification process, it was discovered that 36 residents already had Aadhaar cards. This breakthrough allowed the center to trace their addresses and contact their families, facilitating their return home. A person from Bellary was also reunited with family recently.

During the recent Aadhaar camp, his details were finally uncovered. It was gathered that Mantu Singh hailed from Simaria in Bihar and belonged to a farming family. He previously worked as a JCB driver. It was revealed that his mental health issues were linked to ganja consumption, which led to his disappearance from home. Having now recovered, Mantu Singh was sent back to his family on Saturday, July 28, 2024.
