Mangaluru: BJP, Congress supporters raise slogans; police issue stern warning

Mangaluru: BJP and Congress workers raised slogans against each other near the vote counting center at NITK, on Tuesday during the vote counting process. Police intervened and issued warnings to both groups.

As per later trends, BJP Candidate Brijesh Chowta was maintaining his lead against his closestrival from Congress.

Public Complaints of Police Harassment

Some workers complained that police caused unnecessary inconvenience to the public outside the NITK vote counting center in Surathkal. Despite allowing the public to stand outside, police allegedly interrogated and demanded ID cards at the gate, causing delays.
