Mangaluru: CM Bommai arrives at MIA to attend International Cultural Jamboree at Alva’s College

Mangaluru: Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai arrived at the Mangalore International Airport on Sunday, December 25 to attend the International Cultural Jamboree organized by the Bharat Scouts and Guides at Alva’s College Moodabidri.

Speaking to the media he said, “International Cultural Jamboree organized by the Bharat Scouts and Guides is being held at Moodabidri. Chairperson of Alva’s College Dr. Mohan Alva and MP P G R Sindhia have managed to organize the programme systematically and in a grand manner. Amid Belagavi Winter Session, I’ve made sometime to attend the programme.”

“Like the NCC, Scouts and Guides helps children develop discipline, patriotism, and values in life. The Karnataka government has supported Scouts and Guides from the past and will continue to provide support”, he added.

On questions regarding the Krishnapura murder case, Bommai said, “Such incidents are unfortunate. The investigation is in progress. Every necessary legal measure will be taken and the people behind the murder will not be spared. Police have been given a free hand and there is no pressure from any side on the police investigation process.

“In the meantime, I would like to request the people of Dakshina Kannada and Udupi districts kindly do not adhere to fake news and rumours. It is very important to see to that the law and order of the districts are not harmed”, he added.
