Ullal: Well-known oncologist Dr Jayaram Shetty passed away on Wednesday due to a heart attack. He was 53.

Dr Jayaram Shetty served at the Justice K S Hegde Charitable Hospital at Deralakatte as a radiation oncology specialist. he suffered a heart attack after returning to his home in Mangaluru.
Though he was rushed to the hospital, he died on the way there, sources said.
After completing his post graduation in radiation oncology from K.MC Medical College, Mangalore, he served at the KMC Hospital in Mangaluru for more than a decade. For the last 11 years, he was serving patients at the Justice K.S. Hegde Hospital.
