Speaking to the media in Mangaluru, he clarified that there is no discord within the party regarding the Swabhimana Samavesha held in Hassan. “The anonymous letter could have been written by BJP members. Initially, I had planned to hold the meeting in Tumakuru. However, I was assigned different responsibilities,” he remarked.
The minister highlighted the government’s intensified efforts against drug-related crimes. “We have waged a war against drugs. In the past year, drugs worth Rs 250 crore have been seized and destroyed. The Goonda Act has been invoked against several drug peddlers,” he informed.
Regarding the encounter of Naxalite Vikram Gowda, Parameshwara said, “We have called for Naxalites to surrender. It would be good if they choose to do so.”
