Mangaluru: One killed in head-on collision between bikes

Mangaluru: A 23-year-old youth was killed and another injured in the head-on collision between bikes near Ekkaru Durganagar on Friday.

The deceased has been identified as Ninad P, a resident of Kunjathbail.

Ninad and his friend, first-year MCA students of Nitte technical institute, were on their way home from college when their bike collided head-on with another bike while trying to overtake a truck.

The collision was so massive that both Ninad and his friend suffered critical head injuries. While Ninad died on the spot his friend was rushed to a nearby hospital.

Police officials visited the spot and conducted an inspection.
