22 Footbridges at a Cost of Rs 3 CroreIn Dakshina Kannada, 22 footbridges will be constructed in eight legislative constituencies, with an estimated budget of Rs 4.04 crore. Locations include Ullal, Pavoor, Konaje, Bantwal, Padupanambur, Moodushedde, and others.

Although 22 footbridges have received approval, proposals for 301 additional footbridges have been submitted to the Chief Engineer’s office. This proposal, costing Rs 64 crore, is still pending approval, with expectations for phased approval in the future, said Amarnath Jain, Executive Engineer, Public Works Department, Mangaluru.
Udupi District: Rs 3 Crore for 30 Footbridges
In Udupi district, Rs 3 crore has been allocated for constructing 30 footbridges in key areas, including Udupi, Kapu, Brahmavar, Baindur, Kundapura, Hebri, and Karkala.
