Mangaluru: Staff of 2 private buses clash; complaint filed

 

Mangaluru: A violent altercation broke out between employees of two private buses in the bustling area of Balmatta. What started as a heated argument quickly turned violent when one bus driver reportedly slapped another, sparking an all-out brawl in broad daylight.

Following the incident, a complaint has been filed at the Mangaluru East police station.

According to the complaint by Bhuvaneshwar B.V., a conductor of one of the buses, the incident occurred on October 10, 2024. According to the complaint, the bus was en route back to Vitla when another bus blocked its way and its staff started verbally abusing the complainant and the driver. The two attackers then allegedly assaulted the complainant with an iron rod, hitting his arms, legs, and neck, causing injuries.  The following the assault the assailants fled the scene.

The incident was caught on the CCTV cameras installed in the bus and the footage has gone viral on social media platforms. Passengers and bystanders are seen watching in shock as the brawl unfolded, with neither side backing down.
