Mangaluru: New regulations regarding bus operations have been implemented in the city, effective April 1. The State Bank city bus stand will no longer allow buses to stop, and all city buses will now depart from the service bus stand.
In addition, private vehicles will not be allowed to travel from the road opposite the Police Commissioner’s office to the road next to the service bus stand. This is part of a larger effort to facilitate traffic in the city.
According to Dinesh Kumar, DCP of Crime and Traffic Department, there will be no parking or plying of buses from Hamilton Circle to Rao and Rao Circle. These measures have been put in place in response to the recent development work done at the service bus stand.
The service bus stand will now accommodate both service and city buses, streamlining the transportation system in the city. The police department hopes that this change will reduce congestion and improve the flow of traffic, providing a more efficient travel experience for commuters.
