Addressing the media on Thursday, October 13 at Deputy Commissioner’s Office he said, “The NHAI has taken all necessary steps to resolve the issue regarding the Surathkal Toll Gate, and will be resolved in another 15 days.”.
Deputy Commissioner Dr. Rajendra K V said, “If any accident occurs due to potholes from NITK Surathkal till Nanthoor, concerned contractors will be booked and put behind bars.
Director, Project Implementation, NHAI, Lingegowda said, “In another week or so, the potholes will be covered. We will discuss it with Mangalore City Corporation (MCC) commissioner and complete the work soon. Even after this, the work is not done, concerned contractors will be booked”.

He said, “At a cost of Rs. 19 crores, service road work from Nanthoor Junction till B C Road is on”.
Meanwhile, directions on completion of Kulur flyover repair work, and pothole closure from Pumpwell till Talapady before the rainy season were given.
Contractors were informed to work as a part of the government and inform the district administration if any issues.
Other matters like land acquisition at Adda Hole-Periyadka and Bikarnakatte, road development work at Nanthoor and KPT, and several others were discussed.
MCC Commissioner Akshy Sridhar, Additional DC Krishnamurthy, NHAI, and other officials were present.
