Mangaluru: Youth injured after brutal assault

 

Mangaluru: A 29-year-old youth sustained serious injuries after being assaulted by a gang of five persons at Katipalla here on February 1 night.

The victim identified as Mohammed Anas has been admitted to a hospital for treatment.

Police have filed a case against five persons– Charu, Ravoof, Akki, Mustafa and one other person based on the victim’s statement.

It is said that Charu and Ravoof held a grudge against Anas who was acting as a middleman and asking them to leave their rented premises.

Suratkal police registered a case and investigation is underway.
