Manipal: Car crashes into water pump house

Manipal: A Maruti Baleno car crashed into the municipal drinking water pump house in Eshwar Nagar on Saturday morning after losing control.

The car, traveling from Manipal toward Shivamogga, had five passengers onboard, all of whom escaped unhurt.

The accident site is known for its tricky transition from a concrete road to a muddy stretch, often confusing drivers unfamiliar with the area. Frequent accidents occur at this spot

Moreover, the municipality has not erected a boundary wall around the pump house.

Residents have demanded urgent safety measures to prevent such incidents in the future.
